Every individual harbours dreams and Mousumi Deka Adhikary is no exception. Since childhood, she nurtured aspirations in acting, modelling, dancing, singing, and writing. Engaging in competitions and cultural events kept her connected to her interests. A one-year drama course and numerous stage performances adorned her early journey. However, after marriage and starting a family, she momentarily distanced herself from these pursuits. Despite the responsibilities of family life, she remained active in organizations like Assam Sahitya Sabha and Assam Natya Sanmailan. She even managed a musical school, adapting to online classes during the pandemic. A fortuitous opportunity in a beauty pageant reignited her passion. From her childhood fascination, she embraced the pageant world, so finding this opportunity she participated in it without much back thought. After that, she participated in more pageants where she won first runner-up and winner. Then she also got a nomination as a ramp model in Noida Film City, Delhi by NUFW as the best model of the year and was awarded by the popular Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty. Then after returning to her hometown, Guwahati she participated in many more state-level pageants and won most of them. Then again she got a nomination in an Asian level contest from Mumbai where she won as Earth Asia Queen organised by Queen of Asia International. After achieving those titles she thought of taking a step ahead and also participating in the Mrs. India contest. In December 2023, a contest was held in Dwarka, Delhi she took part in the contest and won as Mrs. India Winner International. Mousumi Deka Adhikary’s achievements resonate beyond Assam, making all of India proud. She states, “This journey wasn’t easy, and I faced challenges in some shows. Grateful to God for helping me navigate through. Balancing family and passion was tough, but my 13-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter admirably managed during my shows.” Her story exemplifies perseverance, showcasing that dreams can indeed be realized against all odds.

After her achievement of Mrs. India, she founded an organisation named Diamond Production Pvt. Ltd. whose main goal is to bring out people from their local community and recognise them on a global level. Diamond Production has helped people in this journey to achieve success and global recognition from the past and will continue to help people.
